And then there came that fateful moment when the whole ship seemed to shudder, and then all was silent. Everyone thought that the ship had lost a propeller blade, and did not pay a lot of attention to the strange circumstance. As if they were in a casino, some of them ascended to the boat deck in their evening clothes to see what was the matter. However, when the staff told them that all was right and that nothing could happen to the ship, since it was unsinkable, all of them returned to their rooms. All but a few however, who decided that life wasn't a casino and that they weren't about to gamble their lives away, stayed topside and saw that the ship was indeed in a bad state.
When the captain told his men to uncover the boats, from that moment on it was as if everybody was playing a casino game, since the boats were loaded haphazardly and without order. It was all chaos and disorder as to the loading itself. Such odds that were there there have never been in the highest house edge in any casino in Las Vegas.
